Don’t dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST.

I've picked up a few books from the library this week and since I just started a new series I figured that I would share from that today!

Book Beginnings:

Prologue: Her baby wouldn't stop crying. She'd started fussing at the last station, when the Greyhound bus out of Bangor stopped in Portland to pick up more passengers.
Chapter 1: Remarkable. Just look at the use of light and shadow...."
"You see how this image hints at the sorrow of the place, yet manages to convey a promise of hope?"

The Friday 56:

Dual combat blade were sheathed crisscross on his back and thrust out over his shoulders like the bones of demonic wings.

The beginning 2 sentences in the prologue almost threw me off. After reading a bit more I understood and was hooked. I'm on page 65 and though the book is moving a little slow for my liking, I am intrigued and can't seem to walk away from the book for more than a few seconds!!
