They Will Burn by Montana Fyre
The key to being queen is to never let them see you stumble.
They betrayed me.
They made me believe they cared for me, only to break my heart.
And now I find myself in the hands of the only man more terrifying than the four men who handed me to him.
I spent my life training to be a mafia queen, but I never learnt how to be a mafia wife, and I’m quickly learning how different the two roles truly are.
When I was learning how to kill people with my bare hands, I should have been learning how to submit to a man who will likely end my life once my usefulness expires.
But this isn’t how I imagined my life would play out, and I refuse to give up.
I refuse to let this be the end of my story.
I will escape Charles Davenport.
I will reclaim my throne.
And then I’ll make the Syndicate of the Legion wish they never carried my broken body into their lives.
This is a dark why choose romance with four morally grey MMC’s. There are themes in this book that some may find triggering, and I urge you to check the content note before reading. This is the second of four books, and it does conclude on a cliffhanger.
Montana is a lover of all living creatures, except for spiders, and her love for her pets is never ending. She leads an active lifestyle and enjoys many different cuisines, often referring to herself as a garlic bread connoisseur. Montana loves to travel, and has found inspiration while exploring the USA and Canada with her wonderful husband. She has always loved everything Disney and is a pop culture nerd.
She attributes her ability to write romance to her husband, Sam, as she’s inspired every day by their fairytale love story. If she can bring about positive change in one persons life with something she has written, she will consider herself a successful author.

{Book Blast} AN EYE FOR THE HIGHEST AND BEST by Dr. Nancy-Angel Doetzel
This post is part of a virtual book tour organized by Goddess Fish Promotions. Dr. Nancy-Angel Doetzel will be awarding a $10 Amazon/BN GC to a randomly drawn winner via rafflecopter during the tour. Click on the tour banner to see the other stops on the tour.
Living in this world of such disruption and uncertainty can result in us facing despair. How can we attune to the rainbow after a storm, and create hope and happiness? How do we develop an eye for the Highest and Best, when faced with what appears to be the worst? What steps should we take to reconnect with our ability to be resilient?
In this book, Dr. Doetzel shares some important insights gained from her own experiences of teaching university, battling cancer, being a journalist, travelling worldwide, dealing with grief, and facing the global pandemic. Along the way, she introduces her readers to fresh ways of viewing their lives, by applying an Appreciative Inquiry lens that inspires the practice of a more conscious way of living, resulting in discovering serenity.
Readers may start to re-examine their own challenges, while discovering their own gems that warrant gratitude. The reflective questions and stories suggest ways of removing blocks to happiness and constructing healthier relationships.
The book is also an ideal tool for educators to apply to teaching Appreciative Inquiry as a qualitative research methodology.

As she was eating, a young aboriginal child suddenly came running towards her to offer her a candy. Perhaps the child sensed she had been upset. Angel learned that he and his parents, who were all travelling together to take this young boy to a hospital for special care, had also missed the plane.
Angel’s perspective was already starting to shift as she re-visited her own circumstances through the heart -centered eyes of a child.
What’s your name? she asked him.
“My name is Sunny”, he replied. “I’m going to the hospital to have an operation. I might be going to live with the Angels soon. I have a hole in my heart, and mommy says I’m very sick, and says I may need a heart transplant soon, to stay alive.”
As Angel stared into the dark-skinned child’s piercing brown eyes, she became mesmerized by the light and joyfulness that they exuded. He was very happy and fearless. Then he lifted his shirt and showed Angel a jagged scar from a recent heart surgery.

Mia St. James
Men want me. I rev their engines.
No, really, it’s my job to make their cars go faster.
Some say I’m the perfect woman—but not Gus Quinlan.
In college, I knew not to lose my heart to him. Yet, he still managed to break it.
Years later, he helps me land a dream job with a women-led race team.
He even invites me to be his roommate—that’s how far in the “friend zone” I am.
Until he kisses me and promises I’m more.
Some say I’m sharp, others say clever…but when it comes to Gus, I can be such a fool.
Is my heart strong enough to give him a second chance when the smart thing to do is to leave him in the rearview mirror?
Gus Quinlan
In my life, I have women I date and friends who are women…and then there is Mia St. James.
She crashes into my well-constructed world with the sweetness I remember
and a new sexy confidence that has me spinning my wheels.
My friends warn me not to cross that line.
Until we’re on a romantic beach under the moonlight, and…come on—I couldn’t not kiss her.
When forced to relive a trauma, I misread the data and destroy our bond.
I can rebuild a hundred-thousand-dollar engine…but how do I repair us?
Read a teaser...
Screw this, she can tell me why she’s prickly later. I turned on the charm. Stepping closer, I reached for her hand, softly taking it between both of mine as two lovers would. I stared up at her from beneath my lashes, leaning forward and brushing my lips across her cheek, drawing back slowly and deepening my voice. “Hey there, Mia Darlin’”
She pulled her hand out of mine, shoved my chest, her other hand on her hip. She fought it—the laughter, but the smirk wouldn’t be denied. “What have I told you about calling me darlin’? And wipe that stupid grin off your face, your charms and good looks don’t work on me, remember?”
I threw my head back and laughed, dragging her in for a true hug.
She softened in my hug and patted my back, accepting the greeting as I rocked her back and forth.
Harper and CJ walked up behind us, one of them commenting, “Oh, yeah. She’ll fit in just fine.”
