Books in the "Harem of Hearts" series are full-length reverse harem/new adult/dark romance novels,  gritty retellings of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland". Don't expect a children's tale; these characters are nothing like their more innocent counterparts. This book contains: drugs, cursing, violence, sex ... and love found in the darkest shadows

Blurb:

I'm so fucking scared right now.
No, not just scared—I'm terrified.
And if you're reading this, you should be, too.

I fell through the Looking-Glass; I got back home.
But get this: I didn't come alone. Oh, and it doesn't feel like home anymore.
Unlike Alice in the original story, this is not my Wonderland.

In the original story, the Walrus and the Carpenter didn't follow Alice back.
In that story, she didn't bring her harem of lovers with her to meet Dad.
Mom, Dad, meet my nine boyfriends; one of them's a faerie who foretells the future—is that what I'm supposed to say?

Back in Underland, things are even worse.
Betrayal, heartbreak, and death … that's all that's waiting for us in Castle Heart.
I'm "the Alice", bringer of prophecy, and I'm starting to fall for all nine men in my life.

So, can I stop the chaos that's rolling in on black wings?
If you're reading this, can you help me, please?
Save the world, get the guys, and give me my happy ending.

My Review:

I'm honestly not sure I liked this book. I understand that it was the last book in the series, but things seemed a little rushed and all over the place. There was definitely more sex in this one, but having 9 men and not having slept with at least 4 of them; I knew most would get shoved into this one.

Most of the story was great if you skimmed the sex scenes. But I figured going into this series there wouldn't be a ton of plot. And really, Allison is 18; as she reminds us repeatedly! The twist in the beginning with Allison's father was one I didn't really see coming, but I like that she figured it all out fairly quickly.

When she broke her mother out of jail, I felt that was a bit far-fetched for my liking, guess I watched to much Prison Break!

The "battle" was a bit of a letdown, but I did see the potential for an epic one, Stunich just didn't really deliver on that end. And Allison getting stuck Topside was extremely aggravating, not that she got stuck, but her whining and complaining was annoying.

The "wedding" was another let down for me, as was the final sex scene with all 9 men. It was really just lack luster all around and I felt that the ending was completely rushed to met a deadline. I'm just glad I didn't have to wait between books because that would have left a really bad taste in my mouth.
