It's that time of year again!! We are doing our annual collection drive! You can donate to our shelter or pick one from the list to collect for. If you are collecting for a shelter different than ours PLEASE remember to take pictures and post them to the facebook page! If you would like to donate to our shelter please contact me either here on the blog or on Facebook with what you would like to donate and your location. I will be making bi-weekly pickups in the Lexington area. Also feel free to drop off anything that you would like to donate ( address supplied when emailed).
Send emails to : chaoticbookobsession @ live.com (remove spaces) with Shelter as the subject!
The kids and I have been collecting donations and purchasing food for our local shelters and foster facilities since last year. We maintain the facebook page for the Kentucky Division. The kids have had such a great time going to the shelters and helping out the animals, and would like to make this drive a huge success!! We set up a fundraiser through AVON that you can check out here. All proceeds from this fundraiser go right back into the drive by allowing the kids to purchase blankets, food, toys, and other needed items.
By clicking on the button below you will be taken to the blog for Kids Adopt A Shelter~Kentucky Division where you will find a list of items needs for donation. If you and your kids, or just you would like to adopt a shelter in your area visit the Kids Adopt A Shelter main facebook page and Sean will get you set up.
Oh wow. That is awesome what you and your family are doing for others!! :) Ill have to look into doing something like this in my area. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWe do a community service with our Girl Guide units. It's part of our program to do it every year and we switch it up what we do. It's so important to help those less fortunate.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely sounds like a great cause. I have started something great on my blog to help with local charity needs. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to get your kids involved. I think it is wonderful to teach them about charity!
ReplyDeleteThat is so wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThat is great! We used to do things at the shelter with the Girl Scouts but I like this idea MUCH better!
